Northwestern’s Weinberg College has approved an interdisciplinary undergraduate major in neuroscience. Modern neuroscience integrates approaches and ideas from biology and psychology with many other areas including chemistry, physics, mathematics, linguistics, communication sciences, computer science, and engineering. The Neuroscience major draws on Northwestern’s academic strengths in many departments to provide comprehensive training in neuroscience for future scientists, physicians, and thinkers and leaders.

Students can learn more about the Neuroscience major in three ways. First, information can be found on this website under the Undergraduate tab. Second, look for information sessions October 6 and October 14 under Events. Third, make an advising appointment with Dr. Valerie Kilman, who can explain options within the Neuroscience major.
